Version 1.8.5.3: April 13, 2010
  • Added support for Davis Vantage Vue.
  • Fixed Davis archive import to use calibration settings.
  • Fixed Davis archive import for one-hour intervals (missed hour 00).
  • Removed Modem interface as it is deemed obsolete.
  • Note for Windows 7 Live Mail users:
    • Live Mail can send mail to only one user.  If more than one user is entered, multiple copies will be sent to the last user listed.  No workaround is currently available.
    • Live Mail will line-wrap the reports.  No workaround is currently available.

 

Version 1.8.5.2: February 2, 2010
  • Another fix to occasional "hanging" of WxSolution on startup with Vantage Pro using 1.8.5/1.8.5.1.
  • Updates to Mail feature to support Windows 7 Live Mail.  Note that the selecting Contacts GUI does not work -- must enter Contacts manually.

  • Replaced bitmap conversion program with utility that will create GIF, JPG, and PNG image types.  The Registry setting will be changed to "BmpConvertCommand=gdiconvert.exe /JPG=75".  The number after /JPG is the JPG image quality (100 is best, but largest file).  Change to "/GIF" for GIF output, "/PNG" for PNG output.  (No "=" or number for GIF or PNG).
  • Added optional delayed startup of WxSolution for users of virtual serial ports.  This setting is only configurable through the DWORD Registry setting "StartupDelay" specified in seconds.
  • Added optional display of 10-minute wind gust to Monitor screen.
  • Added Weather Underground Real-time updates (2.5 seconds) -- this feature has not been fully tested.
  • Updated Hourly Observation HTML page to include 6-hour max/min temperature and 3 and 6-hour rainfall.
  • Added sunshine minutes to Current HTML page: $DY_SUNMINUTES$, $MTH_SUNMINUTES$, $YR_SUNMINUTES$, $YD_SUNMINUTES$, $1YR_SUNMINUTES$.

  • Fixed generation of LCD reports for Davis so that WxSolution will not check for differences in parameters that are not read from the Davis weather computer memory: wind gust minimum, barometric pressure, and sunshine.
  • Fixed the storing of hourly rainfall amounts when the Davis Vantage Pro is configured not to clear weather computer memory. Negative rainfall amounts were sometimes recorded for the first hour of the day.
  • Added basic FTP of current conditions, previous day LCD report, partial month LCD report, and previous day strip chart to the user specified Internet site.
